2010年《银行家》全球1000家大银行排名
2010年06月30日，英国《银行家》杂志（The Banker）公布的2009年全球前1000家银行的排名。美国银行(Bank of America)通过在金融危机中收购美林(Merrill Lynch)，超越摩根大通(JPMorgan Chase)，成为全球资本实力最强银行。花旗(Citigroup)排名第三，苏格兰皇家银行(Royal Bank of Scotland)和汇丰银行(HSBC)分列第四和第五。
40年前《银行家》杂志首度公布全球前1000家银行数据时，美国银行就曾雄踞榜首。
来自新兴市场的银行持续增长强劲，资本排名第七的中国工商银行(ICBC)成为世界上最赢利的银行。中国共有84家银行跻身全球前1000家银行之列，它们的总资本占到这千家银行总资本的9%，而税前利润则高达这千家银行的25%。
《银行家》该项排名基于资本实力，这是衡量银行大规模借贷和承受冲击能力的重要指标。

中国银行的排名情况（前25名）：来自中国的银行从1989年的只有8家上榜，增加到2009年的52家，再激增至2010年的84家，20年间增加了近10倍。它们的总资本占到千家银行总资本的9%，税前利润则高达千家银行的25%。
